[slinkelist] Control-S and Cable Box Control

    I have a Sony VCR SLV-695HF.  The manual doesn't say anything
about Control-S other than the diagrams which show a jack labeled
Control-S out/Cable Box Control.  I have been using the Cable box
Control, and it works fine, but my question is:

Can I use a mono splitter from this jack to go to the Cable Box
Control and the Control-S in of my STR-DE835 receiver at the same
time?  For that matter, can I use the jack to go to my receiver as
Control-S at all on this old VCR?
