If you're looking for an "integrated" solution [a monitor with a touch interface built in] then that's probably right. What I bought from touchscreens.com was a touch "add-on" kit. It looks like an anti-glare screen that attaches to the front of your existing monitor to upgrade it to a touchscreen. Here's the link for the product:

If you're looking for something smaller than a laptop, you might want to look at some of the TouchLinc products at SmartHome.com [ http://www.smarthome.com/lcdpanel.html ]. They have models that transmit X10 and ones that have an RS-232 interface [although I don't know what type of protocol it uses].
