> Does anyone know anything about this CD player?
I have several 151s,
which are even less compatible with newer changers..
> Can I use Slink-e Slink to control it?
Yes, at least I can control a 151 with an original slink-e.
The key is to use a cross-wired stereo cable.
This can be most painlessly accomplished by using
two 1/8" stereo-to-RCA cords, swapping left and right
at the RCA connections.
Colby appended information from Alan Freeman in 1998:

Alan Freeman has sent me some useful information regarding some of the
older Sony equipment which actually uses control-A:
>>>
... in the pamphlet that came with my CDP-CX205, it
says, and I quote:
===================================================================
Compatibility with the former Control A system:
Basically speaking, Control A is not compatible with Control A1.
Certain Control A components, however, can be connected to Control A1
components using a special connecting cord.
CDP-CX151, not compatible
CDP-CX153, can be connected *
STR-G3, can be connected * (only for 100-disc CD control. Other functions
like Auto-function, will not work)
CTRL-300, not compatible
*Use the Sony RK-G139HG (1m) monaural mini-plug <--> stereo mini-plug
connecting cord or a similar cord (less than 2 meters long). Be sure to
connect the STEREO mini-plug to the CONTROL A component and the MON
mini-plug to the CONTROL A1 component.

It looks like you can use the CDP-CX153 with a mono-stereo cable to connect
to the Slink-e (the Slink-e attached to the mono end).
