The best way to do this is with a small VB app, using the Slink-e ActiveX control.

First you need to issue the "cdj:notify_playing_item[on]" command via the startup event in you map file. Then CDJ will send a command that looks like this:

cdjr:playing["ELLA - (The Very Best of Ella) - Disc One","Ella Fitzgerald","Lullaby of Birdland"," 2:53","C:\Program Files\Nirvis\mypics\ella_thebest.jpg","A700920A71AE1D51","19"]

whenever it plays a track [CD or MP3]. The first field is the Disc title, then the artist, track title, track time, cover pic, cdjid, and the track number. Once you have this in your VB app just chop it up and print it to a file.

I have a general home automation app that I've written to do this and other things [mostly getting information from the internet]. I you want to take a look at it I can send you the source code. If you're not good with VB it wouldn't be too hard for me to take my code and just make a small .exe for you.

Let me know,
