Finally got my hands on a ripper/encoder that gets both thumbs up. =
Compared to several other programs I have tried, this is an order of =
magnitude over any of them. It is a European shareware product that =
costs 30 bucks for a full version. A free trial somewhat crippled =
version is also available.=20
I don't normally go out of my way to push a product, but after all the =
aggravation I have experienced from several hundred dollars worth of =
idiotically written rippers and encoders, this one is, by comparison to =
those others nothing less than heaven-sent. It is called Easy CD DA. =
It takes 3 clicks to rip an entire CD to MP3 including the track index =
data as filenames and album data as the folder name. A ton of user =
settings to fit any application and taste. Fantastic!
