FWIW: my 350 takes 6-8 seconds between when I tell CDJ to switch to a new 
disc, and the selected one starts playing (I chose a long jump for the 
timing test).

Is there a problem with my changer, or is this charasteristic of this
model.

my 350 takes some 15-20 seconds MAX to jump from one disk to another.
AND with only slots 1 to 100 loaded.

I had cx100, it took approx. 6 second.
my 250 takes some 10 seconds.
and 350 can spends 15+ seconds.
