> Most of us (who aren't already) will probably be using Win2k before too long.
I haven't yet heard A SINGLE good reason to 'upgrade' to winBlows2000.
"It's NT with all the fine qualities of Win98"-
-Integraded IE -> f**k you very much, bill.
-Web tv. (need I say more)
-Disk quota system -> on a WORKSTATION, how stupid they think customers
are.
-They even advertise that WHY2K has twice the amount of code that
Windows 98 had as it was an improvement, specially when considering
amount of bugs there where (and still are after 3 years) and what is the
minimum system reg. ? INTEL PIII700/256Mb/2Gb
- Also I head the rumor that the why2k has the habit of writing directly
to the kernel while the OS is running. (-> when(not if) the system crash
while writing -> you need to re install the whole "Operating System".)
If this is true I wouldn't touch the why2k with 10 foot pole.
Why2k = MSPlaystation
Why would I move to why2k ?
-Because ms advertising tells; everybody else is.
-I'm so stupid that I believe that THIS time ms finally got it
right.(AAAAAHHAAHHAHAHAHAHAH! )
-I need the challenge. After a year or fight with win98 I finally got by
win98 network running fairly smoothly ("after applying the patch of the
patch that patches the patch that fixes the bugs" times 10)
-Maybe my applications are running too fast and I have too much system
resources free on my current machine, so why2k will solve that problem.
-When will people learn ?
-Any news on cdj on linux ?
If microsoft made cars, bill g. would be serving a life sentence.
