[slinkelist] configuring the slinke OCX for DCOM

Are there any potential side effects when changing the dcom settings to
support the slinke COM component?  The setup instructions involve changing a
number of dcom defaults and I don't want to disable any other dcom
capabilities that are currently working like remote debugging under Visual
Interdev.
Also once this is setup and run on a client machine, how does it know which
machine is the one that has the slinke attached?
