My wife thinks our setup has skipped tracks. It's kinda hard to tell when you're playing random selections. Unless you're watching real close you can't tell.

What we have seen for sure is prequeuing being missed. We have two changers and I've configured it to play from alternating players. It's not too unusual for one player to be "stopped" instead of being on "paused" on the next track that is suppose to be played.

I'm curious as to what kind of player/setup you have. From exchanges with Colby, it's pretty clear that CDJ/slinke is oriented towards players/setups that don't have devices that want to be "masters" or "controllers" for CD players.

One of my players happens to be a CX240 and it has the "feature" of controlling another CD player on the same s-link bus. One of these days I'll get around to trying it on a separate s-link bus to see if it makes things better. In order to do this I have to get/make an audio mixer since it appears that the CX240 disables its second CD audio input when it doesn't think it has control of another CD player.

As luck would have it my receiver is a vision touch STR-DE815G, it too has a CD controller. I've exiled it on a separate bus from my 200 CD changer. This way I can still control it from CD but it avoids potential battles with CDJ.
