Tried the upload on my CX270. Good news is that the principle works fine. Ran upload 1 and got:

Title Title001

Artist TISTz!

Group Tq!

Track1 Title002

Track2 Title003

...

Track15 Title016

Track16 <---- blank
<<

Close, but not quite perfect.

>>

Couple of comments/suggestions:

- Send a CLEAR command to clear out the existing contents as it left the previous stuff in.
<<

right.

>>

- The program sends CD1 IR commands - manual for the suggests setting it up on CD2 as default.
<<

I know - it's just a test program.

>>

- Not sure whether you were intending the group to be nuked.

- You need to be careful uploading the artist/group name because overtyping an exising artist if one has been input overwrites

the name used by all discs. Wouldn't seem too bad a solution to insist the hard reset of player is done before upload.
<<

That shouldn't really matter if you are uploading all of the discs anyway, right?

>>

Alternative for artist title is to output a goodly number of left arrow (jog- ?) commands as this will move back to the new artist

prompt and is benign if the new artist prompt is already showing.
<<

How many arrows would be necessary? This might really slow things down.

>>

- Track titles are misplaced by 1.

- At the end of load the player seems to get confused and the display "loops" on the last thing being done. Not sure how you

can fix this - user intervention of pressing the STOP button works OK.

Tried the upload 20 as well. This moves up through the discs OK, though I must admit that I stopped after 3 discs as I didn't

want to screw up too many discs.
<<

I think the program is getting out of sync. That's why things are offset. I look at you results and try to make some fixes. Actually, In the new version of the test program, I think I will just make it read a command script file. That way you and others can just keep modifying it until it works properly and then send the script back to me.
