CDDB License/Sale of CDDB

Since the CDDB was recently purchased by a commercial vendor of entertainment systems, I'm concerned about the continuing availbility of CDDB. What kind of license does a user of Slink-e or CDJ have to access the CDDB? Could there be a charge in the future? Could access be terminated leaving the products useless?
