Modular pinout/IR receiver schematic?

I have a DB-25 Modular expansion unit. I would like to convert the IR transmitter that came with the kit from 1/8" mono connector to RJ-11 (and build more transmitters and receivers). I can't find a schematic for the expansion unit or receivers on the web.
