My 2 cents: Go find a used music equipment store and get a rackmount line mixer. These will fit into most stereo cabinets (you may have to remove the mount points) and you can get a very good used mixer for the price of lousy (read: radio shack) new one!

Make sure to test every channel on the mixer, and don't ever believe that the 2... or 3.. or 4 players is "all I'll ever need". Leave room to expand. If the store owner does not assist you in testing the mixer, they have something to hide - don't buy it.

I have a Fostex 8 channel mixer which I have my 3 players and my PC attached. (I play broadcast streams and Playstation games on my PC). I also do all my analog recording to my minidisc from the mixer. This allows me to watch a movie or TV while recording. I paid $80.
