Suggested Logic for newly added CD's

You never know what you're going to get from CDDB for the Artist name. For Example, I have 5 "AC/DC" CD's, each of which returns one of the following:

AC DC AC\DC AC-DC

It would be nice if CDJ would look for an existing record with the same artist name and, if one was found, change the "displayed" name for the new record to that of the "displayed" name of the existing record. For this to work, the name returned by CDDB would have to remain in the library (for future reference) even if the displayed name was changed. Another approach would be to maintain a separate table in the library for artist aliases.

I would also like to have the ability for the displayed name to differ from the string used for sorting. The benefit is that artists such as Roger Waters could be displayed as "Roger Waters" but be sorted as "Waters Roger". You could then even sort it by "Pink Floyd" if you wish - for those who want the solo works of a band member to appear grouped with the band.

Finally, I'd like my library to sort by Artist then release date. This can be accomplished by clicking the corresponding column headings in the reverse order but all of my release dates show "12/30/0". Is CDJ not storing it after the CDDB lookup or is it simply not present in the CDDB?
