Keith, the only thing I can think of at this time is a display of lyrics. With the space you save on the aspect ratio, plus putting the time so far and track time on the same side you should be able to do a scrollable display.

As for other features, my experience in the software industry tells me that more features=complexity. The reason that CDJ is viewed as complex is because it has som many features documented at the reference manual level (i.e. if you know what to do it will remind you). They said they were fixing this with an updated help but no dates yet.

Don't fall into the trap of duplicating all of CDJs function with PartGUI. And dont listen to the techies for input. Ask everyone to ask their wife or significant other. Those are the people who are really stuck. How long can the real feature list be

-Display list of albums -Tracks on each album -Select tracks or albums for play -Display current playing information -Display upcoming selections. Useful for when the social event changes tempo and you need to make sure that the upcoming music is in line. -Skip ahead. Useful for when people don't like the current playing track -Tag track for long permanent playlist (i.e when a track is playing, be able to tag this for addition to previously defined playlist name such as KJAfave.pla) for when you really like this track. This could also be used when you just put CDJ in random mode then switch to partygui and tag tracks you want added to the playlist as you hear them

All the control and setup stuff of defining devices etc should be left to CDJ.

Keep up the good work. Incidentally why is your program not on the user submitted page at www.nirvis.com?

Brian
