You'll find that the level of control afforded by the Control-S port is very minimal compared to the Control-A1 ports on the audio products. No status reports. No queries. No real commands.

I have a minimal form of control in my jukebox-control project right now. It emulates the functions of the remote and allows me to ditch the horrible Sony remote control.

Also in beta is the DVDDB code that I am working on. It uses a format similar to CDDB to store meta information about the DVD's in my changer. This allows me direct scene and feature access from a pick list of discs and features. I hated the "Disc Explorer" from the moment I encountered it -- this is my replacement for it.
