In Response To: user-defined toolbar buttons question (Lucas Nel)

if you look in the default maps.txt it gives a sample close to what is necessary the vcr:0{

cdj:playlist_stop

cdj:search_mode[track]

cdj:search[kw=rock]

cdj:playlist_clear

cdj:playlist_mode[random]

cdj:playlist_play}

The # signs in the files are comments to prevent it from being active. you don't need teh search statements as you know what play list you want. the playlist_clear prevents your new play list from being appended to what ever is currently in the play list. The random mode is optional - depends on your penchant for predictibility.

The only new command playlist_load[] can be found in the help files under CDJ -> automation interfaces -> Commands a& responces.

cdjr:user_button[001]{

cdj:playlist_stop

cdj:playlist_clear

cdj:playlist_load[auto.pla]

cdj:playlist_play}

The only other hints are 1) name you map file something other than maps.txt to prevent future releases from killing your changes. 2) remember to hit the reload button after you exit the editor so cdj will re-read your map file.

HTH
